History

ASDA (N) was born in 2023 as a new grassroots organization that has all the strengths and man power even though ideally it emerged from pronounced “NAH-thuh-jay,” ‘Ngaathaje’ for “N” where we restructured and rebranded it. Ideally, the vision springs from ‘Ngaathaje’ (N) (pronounced “NAH-thuh-jay”), one of the Sudanese languages spoken among Naath [Nuer] people in the South Sudan and elsewhere translated “I hope and believe”. Juanis Kang D Lual who is the founder a young man who spent many years in disaspera both in the refugee camps in Ethiopia and the United States where he had have opportunities to be able to earn both Bachelor and Master Degrees and was honored for Honorary Doctor Degree as well. He is also a founder of a few social groups, organizations, and businesses so he has tremendous experience in business, leadership, and management.

ASDA runs by young men and women who are educators and committed for change and improvement not just talking about the basic issues and problems that facing our people and across Africa, but address and solve them completely.

ASDA ‘Ngaathaje’ (N) (pronounced “NAH-thuh-jay”it reflects founder’s belief in taking action and getting involved now rather than waiting for things to happen or someone or an institution to come, or a miracle to happen. It represents the individual’s attitude with which positive change or improvement begins. But for him, it is the opposite, because he strongly felt and feels that we through ASDA can encourage, empower and dare anybody, especially those who might be pessimist and hopeless about the future both young and old generations. All he advocating here is to dare anyone (you, us, or people in Africa and elsewhere) to act and take action now, not to wait for six months, not a year, not two years from now, not five years down the road – rather, right now!

In this ideal we believe we will definitely impact and change outlooks of the vulnerable and marginalized communities whose are experiencing all kinds of issues and problems where they are lacking necessities of life as well as our plan is to get them out of the abject poverty.
